In 1233 AD, the Jin capital fell, leaving the city gates in ruins and countless dead and wounded. The Mongol Grand Preceptor led his troops to raid the residence of the Jurchen royal prince, Prince Ning. Prince Ning's heir, Wanyan Jin, was severely wounded and rescued by Yingsu, a descendant of the Duke of Xiangguo, at Huilong Temple. After Wanyan Jin recovered and the two revealed their identities, they began their plan to restore their kingdom. Meanwhile, the Mongol Grand Preceptor, to realize his own ambitions, was also searching for Wanyan Jin and the half-treasure map he carried.
