After filming the educational community's efforts to rebuild its memory in "Le Collège de Monsieur Pary," Christine Tournadre continues her work of remembrance with this new documentary, "Samuel Paty, Le temps de la Justice." This film takes us to the heart of the first-instance trial for the teacher's assassination, which took place in the fall of 2024 at the Paris courthouse. By focusing on the two defendants who launched the online hate campaign, the film examines the criminal responsibility for statements disseminated online when they contribute to a chain of events leading to a terrorist attack. With its clear and accessible approach, this documentary proves to be an essential film for informing public debate and providing insights into the challenges facing the justice system today.
