줄거리 English
Activist, media star, thinker "without a safety net"-Hannah Arendt is famous for her study of the origins of totalitarian rule, controversial for her diagnosis of the "banality of evil." Her tireless and fearless advocacy for freedom of thought and an open society is admired. Her books and essays remain bestsellers to this day. Fifty years after her death, the film tells the story of her life, following the historical events that profoundly shaped her thinking-from the Reichstag fire to the Vietnam War. People who knew her paint a picture of a woman who was as fearless as she was full of life. Original recordings of Arendt and quotations from her books and letters, spoken by actress Nina Hoss, bear witness to a uniquely self-determined life. A film about the astonishing foresight of a political thinker that resonates into the present day, and the difficulty and beauty of maintaining composure in the face of the abyss.
